Charles Abraham Hobbs, 82, entered into life July 30, 1936 and entered into rest November 05, 2018.
Charles was born in Miles City, Montana. He was the only son and fourth child of Arthur and Ruth Hobbs. After graduating in 1954 from Lincoln High School, he attended Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma, Washington.
He joined the United States Army where he spent time in England and Germany. During his tour of duty he was entertained by Elvis Presley.
From an early age he was active in all types of sports. He was a person who wore many hats...whose background working with youth included acting as a recreation leader for the park district, city league baseball as umpire and teaching trampoline. He was a youth guidance inspector for the junior police and worked also with the boys club as a director.
After moving to Texas in 1984, the sunny hot weather led him to golf which quickly became his love, especially with his son Blayne. Many of his co-workers in the automobiles sales industry loved playing golf with him due to his skill and humor.
He is survived by his wife Lynette, son Blayne and wife Karen Batson of Peoria, AZ; son, Wayde of Vancouver WA, Step-daughter Elizabeth Lawerence, of Ft. Worth, TX Step-daughter Rebecca Barnhart and husband Michael,of
Keller, TX, three sisters; Betty Nelson, of Monterrey, CA, Nancy Grogan, of University Place, WA, Marie Redburg, of Lacey, WA and five Grandchildren; Cameron, Peyton, Avery, Kathleen, Nathan and many nieces and nephews.
