Charles E. Jones

Charles Edward Jones, age 80, born February 3, 1942 in Krum Texas and passed away September 6, 2022 in Arlington Texas. He was born to Gertrude Fisher and Ed Jones Jr.

Charlie loved his beautiful wife of 62 years this week and his ever-growing family. He had a rich life traveling with his lovely bride to all 50 states, 8 providences of Canada, Mexico, Caribbean Islands and Vietnam. He made many dear friends over the years traveling and never knew a stranger. He loved to hunt and fish and did so for many years after retiring at 34 years from General Motors where he served as a team leader.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nelda; children, Sherry Mullins and her husband, Bruce, James Jones and his wife, Vy, Brian Jones and his wife, Amy; grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy and Chandra, Jared and Lindsey, Kyler, Ayla, Elizabeth, Katherine and Mary; great grandchildren, Karlee, Tatum, Rowdy, Tinsley and Cod; sister, Queva Martin and brother, Tom Jones. He is preceded in death by his parents Gertrude and Ed Jones Jr.

He will be missed and remembered for his firm handshake, his broad grin, and deep baritone voice, but mostly for his caring heart and generous nature while always acknowledging God's blessings in his life.
