It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles (Chuck) Kelsch, 77, of Keller.
Chuck left this world on Thursday, August 17, 2023, and entered God’s Kingdom peacefully, at
home, surrounded by his family.
Born on Friday, August 9, 1946, Chuck led a life filled with adventures, achievements, and so
much love. He attended Carroll Senior High School. He was a decorated combat veteran in the
Vietnam War, a dive master, a pilot, a realtor, a custom home builder and owned a drywall
company. Chuck touched the lives of countless individuals with his dedication, kindness, and
zest for life.
Chuck's impact extended far beyond his professional realm. He was the most loving and
devoted husband, father, and grandfather. There was nothing he enjoyed more than being
surrounded by his family. Chuck loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, boating, and
living on lake time was not only his happy place but a passion that he loved to share with his
grandchildren.
Chuck will be remembered for his faith, integrity, generosity, sense of humor and grit which
made him a pillar of strength for his family and friends. His memory will forever remain etched
in our hearts as a source of comfort and inspiration.
Chuck is survived and missed by his loving wife Lori; and his children, Tara (Jerry), Kelsi (Phillip),
Misty (Matt), Mike, Natasha (J.T.). Forever cherished and remembered by his nine
grandchildren, Corey, Justin, Baylee, Landon, Taylor, Crue, Micah, Jade, and Brooklyn. His
memory will be cherished by his sister Pam; in-laws Beverly and Norman and his faithful
companions, Jasper, Pepper, Zeke, Marvin Gray, and a vast network of relatives and friends
who loved him.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Opal, his brothers, Jack, Marty and
Mike, his grandson Xander and his loyal Labradors, Anna, and Chase.
A celebration of life and interment will be held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on
August 29, promptly at 10:00 a.m. – please arrive by 9:45 a.m. After the interment, the family
will receive visitors from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Bessie Mitchell House, 411 Ball Street,
Grapevine, TX 76051.
Though Chuck has left this world, his legacy will continue to thrive through the stories and
memories we hold dear. May we find solace in the knowledge that his spirit will forever live on
in the lives he touched in this world. We have peace knowing that we will be reunited with him
in Heaven.
