Charles Wayne Louderback

April 17, 1930 — March 9, 2019

Wayne was a native of Fort Scott, Kansas, he graduated from Kansas University with a bachelor's degree in business, 1952, While at KU he participated in the Delta Sigma Phi business fraternity and the KU band. He also served as the first student manager of the 1952 National Championship basketball team. After graduating, he worked for Western Insurance Company as a field representative in the company's home office. In 1955 he was assigned to the Davenport, Iowa office, where he remained until 1965, then he relocated to the Omaha office. He stayed in Omaha for 10 years before moving to Hurst, Texas. He retired from Western Insurance in 1986. In 1996 he married Carol Dillon in Maui. For the next 22 years they enjoyed cruising numerous ports - his favorites were Santorini, Greece, Venice, Italy and Helsinki, Finland where he visited the Olympic Arena where the 1952, KU basketball team won the Gold Medal. He continued to attend KU Basketball games Big 12 tournaments and various regional and Final Fours with friends and daughter Melissa.
