Charles Tecumseh Moore, III, 72, of Burleson, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep on June 24, 2020.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 3, 2020 at 10am, at First Baptist Church of Burleson. The service will be live-streamed on the church’s Facebook page. Chuck was born March 29, 1948 in Los Angeles, CA to Charles T. Moore, II and Gladys Devos Moore. After graduating from high school in California, Chuck spent 4 years proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force. He was fascinated by flight and airplanes and spent the early years of his career working for various airlines and hospitality related businesses. After moving from Albuquerque, NM to Burleson three years ago to be closer to his children and grandchildren, he was fortunate to begin working for the Chick-fil-A location on John Jones Dr. in Burleson. He was a tirelessly energetic lobby host and eventually became the Director of Catering and Hospitality, a position of which he was very proud of. In his time working at Chick-fil-A, he became affectionately known as Chick-fil-A Chuck and Mr. Chuck to the multitude of customers he so joyfully served on a daily basis with a genuine attitude of love and care. He touched countless lives with simple acts of kindness and a sincere desire to show the love of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, to all he encountered.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Russell West.
He is survived by his children Douglas Moore, Christi Cullum and husband Jeff, and Trisha Wallace and husband, Jose; beloved sisters, Connie West and Cindy Pepper; treasured grandchildren, Daniel Moore, Nicholas Moore, Natascha Lasky, Justin Hermann, Ashton Gutierrez, Chad Wallace, Trey Cullum, and Blake Cullum; nephews, Ron West and Roger West; and a host of other family and friends, including his cherished Chick-fil-A family. He loved you all so much.
Chuck’s daughter, Christi, would like to extend a special THANK YOU to Rachel Worley…you know why. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Men’s Ministry at First Baptist Church of Burleson or to Lottie Moon.
