Charles Jerry Parker, known to everyone as Jerry, died November 16, 2021
Jerry was born on August 6, 1927 in Tyler, Texas. After finishing high school, Jerry honorably served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. In the early 1950's, Jerry joined the U.S. Air Force. After completing his tour of duty he joined the Air Force Reserves, and then graduated from SMU with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering. He and his father, Benjamin Barr Parker, started a machine tool business, "B.B. Parker and Son". Jerry used to joke that he was the "and Son" in the company.
Jerry enjoyed traveling abroad, playing poker and sharing his love of life with his family and friends. Jerry made friends easily and all were always welcome to share meals and happy celebrations with him and Sylvia at their home.
Jerry was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was well loved by his family and friends and will be missed by many people. Jerry is survived by his wife, Sylvia Parker; son, Bernard J. Parker and his wife Sophie; daughter, Michelle Holley; granddaughters, Megan Westerheid and Heather Stout; and one great granddaughter, Rilee Michelle McKee.
Graveside Services will be held at Dallas/ Fort Worth National Cemetery on Tuesday, November 30th and 10am.
