Charles J. Reinhardt, 80, also known as "Mr. Zip" and a former longtime resident of Killeen and Harker Heights, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at his home in Bedford.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3713 Harwood Road, Bedford. Visitation: 6 p.m. Wednesday, with a rosary starting at 7 p.m., at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1000 East FM 2410, in Harker Heights. Interment: Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen. Rosary: 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Harker Heights.

Chuck was born in Germantown, Philadelphia, Pa., on May 9, 1936. He graduated from LaSalle University in 1958 with a B.S. degree in business and was commissioned as a second lieutenant, Artillery. He married Margaret Carr, also a native of Philadelphia, Pa., on Sept. 13, 1958. Shortly afterwards, they moved to Texas where Chuck was assigned to Fort Hood. He spent three tours of duty at Fort Hood and one tour in Vietnam where he earned the Bronze Star and Vietnam Medal of Gallantry.
In May,1967, Chuck opened Zip Cleaners in the Killeen-Fort Hood area and continued to operate it for 38 years. He was an active member of many civic, governmental, religious and trade associations throughout his life. In September 2005, Chuck and his wife, Marge, retired and moved to Parc Place Retirement Community in Bedford to be closer to their daughter and her family.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mildred Reinhardt; two sisters, Mary Veronica Canning and Genevieve Salazar; and his grandson, Zachary Clark.
Survivors: His beloved wife, Marge, of 57 years; daughter, Kathy Clark and husband Barry; and grandson, Joshua Clark.
