HURST -- Charles Roe, 82, passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012.
Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Interment: will follow in Poolville Cemetery, Poolville. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Charles was a graduate of North Texas State University and worked as a computer programmer for Bell Helicopter. He retired in 1994 after 41 years with Bell. Charles loved to play bridge with his friends and fellow retirees. He was a good Christian and was a member of Shady Oaks Baptist Church for the last 49 years. A man of impeccable integrity, he will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Wynell Morgan Roe; his brother, Billy Roe; parents, Floyd and Merle Roe; and a granddaughter, Cathrine Noele Ford.
Survivors: He is survived by his four children, Karen Riddle of Heath, Sherry Roe of Hurst, Michael Roe of Dallas, Kathy Roe of Lubbock; and grandsons, Randall Switzer of Odessa and Ryan Switzer of Heath.
