As the final child born of 9, he was the last of the Tye children to join our heavenly father. Before moving to Texas, he resided in Hudsonville, MI for 28 years following his career at General Motors. His passion, love, and loyalty for his work, God and family was treasured by all that knew him. He served in the United States 6th Marine Corps as a Private First-Class Marine.
On December 26, 1957, he married Georgia LaNette Tye, together they moved from Corbin, Kentucky to Salem, Indiana welcoming their daughter Teresa (Dan) Kilman, then moving to Cincinnati having his children, Charles (Sandy) Tye, Jr., Debbie (Steve) Ravenscraft, and Mike (Libby) Tye. Moving to Blue Ash in 1967 they joined the church and raised their family together. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jacob and Joseph (Jessica) Kilman; Jared, Micah, and Justin (Ashley) Dykes; Nicholas Tye and Amanda (Joseph) Allen; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In 2007 he retired from General Motors after 37 years. Staying busy serving the church and volunteering in his community, he will be remembered as a passionate man who although quiet, his smile, hardwork, and love made a lasting impression on everyone he met. After 64 years of marriage to LaNette, Charles fought hard to battle Alzheimers and we welcome everyone to join us in rejoicing to the lord that he has brought this wonderful Husband, Father and Grandfather home to be pain free forever.
