Charlotte Ann Pittman

February 9, 1951 — November 4, 2023

We are saddened to announce the passing of our mom and nannie, Charlotte Pittman, on November 4th, 2023. She was born February 9, 1951, and was the daughter of Pauline T. Reedy and Glen L. Reedy. She was surrounded by her loving family and close friends.

Charlotte attended Haltom High School and later married Jessie Pittman in 1968. They resided in Haltom City, Texas for over 50 years, where they raised their family.

Charlotte dedicated her life to her family and friends. She was the most selfless person you’d ever meet. She actually never met a stranger. She was always willing to pitch in to help others in need. She most definitely had a servant’s heart, just ask anyone who knew her. She gave herself 100% to us all. Her life’s motto, that she lived by, was “Always be Humble and Kind”, as kindness is always free.

Nannie's boys, Riley and Parker, were her special boys and meant the world to her. She followed her grandsons around the country to watch their baseball games and competitions and was always excited to be supporting them in their endeavors. From every baseball game to every cow shown in an exhibition, she was all in. She loved those boys more than anything and never failed to have a story or a celebration to share about them with others. Her “nannie's brag book” was overflowing!

Charlotte always claimed she had the best job in the world. She worked at Kell Cleaners for 59 years, which was a tremendous achievement she was very proud of. Not only was she supporting the people in the community, but she had also created a following of dedicated customers that would follow her wherever she might have gone…. she treated her customers like family. Many of you likely met Charlotte at Kell Cleaners and she probably knew the brands and sizes of your clothes better than you did. She even knew what some of you had for dinner the night before based on the stains on your shirt! She may have even asked you for the recipe! She loved helping with every one of your stains, rips, holes and rush orders. Charlotte even loved the fact that she got to be involved in supporting her Kell family during the special moments in their lives, from their weddings or family funerals to proms and job interviews. She supported our veterans to make sure their flags were perfectly done, and she even made sure that local law enforcement had their uniforms nicely cleaned and pressed. I bet you didn’t know that she was Santa Claus’s favorite, because she kept his suit spiffy and ready for the holiday season.

Charlotte was absolutely one of a kind. Her family and friends will miss her tremendously, but they have peace knowing that her faith in God assures us that she is in her place in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Buffie Pittman and Paula Pittman and Todd Holder; son, Chad Pittman and his wife, Shannon Pittman; grandsons, Riley and Parker Pittman, Trent & Megan Grisham, all of Fort Worth. So many cherished family and friends. Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie and her parents, Pauline and Glen Reedy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Luke’s Methodist Church in Haltom City on Saturday, November 11, at 11:00 AM.
