Chase Curtis Edwards was born on April 5, 1998 in Irving, Texas and he passed away on May 10, 2019 in Japan.
Chase was a 2016 graduate of Trinity High School and was a member of the Swim Team. After graduation, he enlisted into the United States Navy. He was recently a Third Class Gunners Mate on the U.S.S Wasp stationed in Japan. Chase was an outdoorsman and was a lover of nature. He enjoyed hiking and admiring the world’s landscapes. He and his family traveled to many destinations to hike, backpack and love nature together.
Chase is survived by his parents, Glenn and Lynn Edwards of Euless, Texas; sister, Taylor Edwards also of Euless; maternal grandmother, Marjorie McDaniel of Farmington, New Mexico; and paternal grandmother, Roselyn Edwards of Peach Tree City, Georgia; many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members; a multitude of shipmates and a host of friends.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 31, 2019 at Lucas Funeral Home Chapel located at 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas 76053; followed by committal service with full Navy honors at 2:00 P.M. at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
