Loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Cheryl Ann Branson, 53, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 12. Graveside service: 11:00am Friday, August 19, 2016, Bourland Cemetery, 901 Bourland Road in Keller.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Baylor Foundation with attention to the transplant floor at 1400 8th Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76116.
She was born on November 1, 1962, to Evelyn and Ralph Eugene Turner, Sr. in Ventura, California. She was the oldest of three children with two younger brothers, Ralph Eugene Turner Jr. and Russell Alan Turner.
Cheryl grew up in Carpinteria where she graduated High School and spent most of her days hanging out at the beach. This is also where she met the love of her life and husband of 31 years, Thomas James Branson. They moved to Santa Barbara and were married on June 9, 1985.
Over the course of 11 years they had five children, three girls and two boys, all who spent most of their lives to playing baseball and softball. Cheryl spent many years traveling across the country with her family for tournaments, games and practices, something she was truly passionate about. She was always her children's biggest fan and supporter.
In 2005, she and her husband bought their first home and moved the family to Keller, Texas. This is where they have lived happily the last 11 years with their two dogs, turtles, cats and any other creatures they could find. Cheryl loved her “secret garden”, caring for plants, sitting in the pool and hosting parties in their backyard.
After the move to Texas, she loved returning home to Santa Barbara to visit old friends, family and put her toes in the sand while watching the sunset. Cheryl will be remembered for her free spirit, loving personality, dedication to helping others and her love for party planning, music and dancing.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Tom; son, Jordan Thomas Branson, daughter Chevonne Keely MacDonald and her husband, John Christopher MacDonald, daughter Marisha Rose Branson, daughter Azia Lynn Tullos and her husband, Jett Eric Tullos, son, Dylan James Branson, brother Ralph Eugene Turner Jr., and brother Russell Alan Turner. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Liam Thomas Branson, Paige Ryann MacDonald and Zoey Sophia MacDonald. Other survivors include many half-siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
