Chloedonn Fincher

Chloedonn Fincher was born on May 8, 1926, to parents Pearl Elizabeth and Carson Rogers, and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She passed away on August 20, 2023. Many of her friends fondly called her Chloe, and she was loved by all. While in high school, she worked at Western Union in downtown Fort Worth. She married her high school sweetheart, Bill Fincher, in San Diego, where Bill was stationed in the Navy during World War II. After the war, they moved back to Fort Worth, where their children, Donna and Jim, were born. Later, Chloedonn worked as office manager of Bill’s accounting firm. Bill and Chloedonn attended the Richland Hills Church of Christ.

Chloedonn was preceded in death by her husband F. G. (Bill) Fincher, her daughter, Donna Fincher, and her three brothers, Grover, Jimmy, and Bob Rogers. Those left to cherish her memory include son Jim Fincher and wife Jill Fincher, grandchildren Allyn Fincher and wife Sadie Harrison-Fincher, Elizabeth Lawrence and husband Jeff Lawrence, William Byrd and husband Nathan Dance, John Fincher, and David Fincher, great-grandchildren Paul Fincher and wife Lauren Fincher, Hollis Fincher, Harrison Fincher, James Purgason, Raedon Dance, and Ama Fincher, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Chloedonn will be laid to rest next to her husband Bill at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
