In Loving Memory of Chris Scott
Chris Scott was born on September 13, 1970, in San Antonio, Texas, and departed this world
on July 5th, 2024, at his home in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 53. He is leaving a tapestry of
love, laughter, and a profound appreciation for the arts. Chris was a devoted husband, a
nurturing father, a beloved brother, and a cherished friend whose impact on the lives of those
around him was immeasurable.
Chris is survived by his adoring wife, Desiree, and their three sons, Charlie (22), Matt (19), and
Cole (14). His love and guidance will forever resonate in the hearts of his family. He is also
survived by his mother, Janice Scott; his sister, Lisa Coleman, and brother-in-law, Tony
Coleman; his half-siblings, Lindsey Paswater and Sean Paswater; his niece and nephews; and
other extended family members. Each carries a piece of Chris's Spirit, and his memory will live
on in the stories they share and the love they continue to express.
Chris's journey was shaped by the bonds of family, the joy of friendship, and a passion for the
arts. He found profound fulfillment in spending time with his loved ones, creating lasting
memories of warmth and laughter. His devotion to his family was unparalleled, and his love for
them was a guiding light in his life.
An artist at heart, Chris immersed himself in the world of the arts. His love for creative
expression led him to become a proud member of the Phantom Regiment drum and bugle
corps, where he found an outlet for his artistic talents and a community that shared his passion
for music and performance.
Chris's commitment to brotherhood extended to his involvement with Phi Mu Alpha Fraternity,
where he formed deep, lasting connections with fellow fraternity members who shared his love
for music and camaraderie.
Chris is preceded in death by his father, Charles Scott, his brother, Jonathan, and his
birthmother, Jeny Miller. While we mourn his physical absence, we celebrate his vibrant life and
the indelible mark he left on our hearts.
A celebration of Chris's life will take place at 2 p.m. on July 26 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst,
Texas- reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Phantom Regiment, reflecting Chris's
