Christopher Noel Spicer, age 53, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, after a short battle with the Delta variant of COVID-19. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Spicer, children, John Christopher Spicer (son), Colton Nathaniel Spicer (son), Daylin Jolie Spicer (daughter), Jordan Nicole Karecki (step-daughter), and Kiley Alexa Karecki (step-daughter), mother, Antonia “Toni” Sellitto Spicer, father, Reo Spicer, brother, Adam Spicer, and sister, Elishama Spicer.
Chris was born on February 10, 1968, in Bellflower, California, but spent his youth in Anaheim, California. He attended Melodyland Christian High School, and participated in choir and school sports, including becoming captain of the wrestling team. After graduating in 1986, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he learned to be a Survivalist Instructor. Upon receiving his honorable discharge from the USAF, Chris embarked on a long-time career in the field of legal support, serving as a private investigator for the last 30 years.
Chris enjoyed life with an enthusiasm matched by few. He loved greatly and made many lifelong friends along the way. He always showed a generosity that most can only aspire to reach. His family was the focal point of his life, and Chris delighted in family gatherings for birthdays, holidays or just to spend time together. Chris was a support and cornerstone to all his family and friends. A lifelong patriot, he was known to be outspoken about his love for his country, and passion for American history and justice.
Anyone who knew Chris knew his love of sports, any sport including Nascar, Professional wrestling, and poker. It was no secret for his devotion to his “teams”; The Dallas Cowboys, LA Angels, LA Kings, USC and OSU. And no one could ever forget his infectious laughter.
In the fall of 2015, Chris and Tammy moved from Southern California to Saginaw, Texas. He quickly embraced the Texan culture, and happily made his life here. He has said many times “he should have been born a Texan.”
Central to all he did was his love for Jesus Christ his savior. Chris loudly proclaimed his belief and devotion whenever the opportunity arose. In 2019 through DNA testing, Chris found out he was 28% Jewish from his birth father and embraced his love for Israel and the Jewish people. He was passionate to learn all he could about Jewish traditions and celebrations.
The world has lost a vibrant and loving soul, but heaven has welcomed home a cherished son.
