Christopher James Cramblet, 72, a retired United States Army Combat Officer and pilot passed away in Grapevine on August 26, 2024. He retired from the Army after over 22 years. As an instructor pilot in the United States Army, Chris was one of the few selected Army pilots to fly for an elite military team while stationed in Germany. He had a love of flying and flew rotary wing (helicopters) while in the military and later flew 737 airliners for a private airline. Even after retirement, he continued his flight journey through simulation software where he touched the lives of many fellow pilots.
Chris is survived by his wife Sheila Beach-Cramblet, his children Wilbur Nicholas Cramblet, Robert James Cramblet, and Joshuah Beach-Letendre along with his wife Victoria Beach-Letendre, grandsons Nicholas Cramblet and Kyzer D. M. Cramblet and his granddaughter Sparrow Beach-Letendre. Chris was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Patricia Cramblet. Chris is also survived by his sisters Ellen Edwardson of Montana and Karen (KC) Kern along with her husband Toby of Wyoming, as well as his niece and nephew Crystal and Jason Wright who he considered his children along with their children Nicholas, Makenzie, and Dustin Wright. He is also survived by his cousins Suzie Clendenin, Pard Cummings, John Cummings, Cindy Strecker, Andrea (Datz) Matthews of Montana and Debbie Mozhizuki and Steve Day of California, and many family friends who loved him dearly.
The family will be present for the visitation from 11:00AM to 12:00PM Wednesday September 11th at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine, TX.
The celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 12:00PM. Procession to the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, TX will follow with the burial ceremony taking place at 2:00PM.
