Christopher Alan Hickey, age 47, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Chris was born in Waukegan, IL to Larry and Constance (“Connie”) Hickey. He lived in Illinois until 1996 when he moved to the DFW Metroplex with his cousin Bobby Clark. In 2004, Chris became a father when Mackenzie Claire Hickey was born in Lewisville, TX.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents Mary Lou and Robert Gene Clark.
Chris leaves behind his wife of 8 years, Sabrina Hickey, age 40, and their 3 children Olivia Sabrina Munoz (age 19), Ivan Christopher Munoz (age 15) and Mackenzie Claire Hickey (age 13). Chris is also survived by his mother, Connie Hickey, his father Larry Hickey, stepmother Mary Hickey, sisters Adrienne Hickey, Sheena Hickey and Stacey Peterson, sister-in-law Shelley Copple and brother-in-law Chris Copple . He also leaves behind nephews Justin Scudder, Anthony Scudder, Jarid Darby, Jonathan Peterson, Joshua Peterson, Danny Henningfeld, Michael Fisher, Noah Jacobs, Travis Jacobs, Jaxon Jacobs, Brody Copple, Cohen Copple and nieces Jessica Scudder and Abigail Copple.
Chris gave his life to Christ on January 4, 2016 at the Hills Church of Christ in North Richland Hills, TX. He faithfully served as Barrabas in The Thorn, a theatrical depiction of Jesus’ life, from 2015-2017. Chris built a legacy of faith, strength and perseverance.
We will honor Chris’ life during the weekend of March 10 – 11, 2018.

Chris was not a formal person, and he loved the fact that our church was comfortable with him dressing casually. We request you dress comfortably to both the visitation and memorial service and would love for you to dress in vibrant colors instead of black.
The family requests minimal (or no) flowers be sent. Instead, we request that the money you would spend on flowers be given graciously to the Courage Campaign in Christopher’s honor.
