BEDFORD -- Christopher Allen Russell, loving husband, father, son, and brother passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015. Funeral: 1:00 pm Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Bethesda Community Church, Fort Worth. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. Burial: Bourland Cemetery, Keller.
Chris was a 1990 graduate of Cedar High School and enjoyed a career dedicated to serving his community as a firefighter/paramedic, most recently in the city of Longview. He was the president of the Longview Professional Firefighters Association, a founding member of the Longview Fire Department Pipes and Drums, and Longview Firefighter of the Year 2012. Chris is survived by his wife, Kathryn; children, Jonah, Raylee, and Lindsey; parents, Allen and Brenda Russell of Cedar Hill; brother, David Russell and wife Lesli of Frisco; nieces, Reagan and Allyson Russell; in-laws, Clyde and Sandy Wyatt; sister-in-law, Gretchen Wyatt; God-parents, Joyce and Willard Murdock; and a host of brothers and sisters in his Fire Family.
