Christopher Shaun Turner

October 31, 1978 — May 23, 2023

Christopher Turner, beloved husband, brother, son, father, and friend, passed away on May 23, 2023, at the age of 44, in his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas.

Chris was born on Halloween, which made him the life of the party from the beginning. He lived life with a smile on his face and a joke up his sleeve.

He was the son of Reginald Turner Sr. and Mary Kitchen and grew up in a large and loving family. Chris was married to the love of his life, Starla Turner, and in their third year of marriage together. Chris raised three wonderful children, Dehvon Barry, Ta’Neal Turner, and Caylen Turner and “bonus children”, Leyland Pearson, Micah Wright, Skylar Wright, and Adanai Wright, all of whom he took great pride in.

Chris is also survived by brothers, Reginald Turner II, Torri Kitchen, Codie Gamboa, and sister, Chastity Grant. In addition, Chris leaves behind a large family including his Grandmother, Etta Mae Parker, Aunts, Regina Mitchell, Ara Strange, Sheila Smith, and Paula Davis; Uncles, Andre Turner and Edwin Drayden.

Chris attended Desoto High School, where he was known for his “Mighty Mouse” personality and his athletic ability. He served in the US Airforce, and always kept his perseverance, even in the most challenging situations.

Chris loved Madden, watching football, and spending time with his family. He was always up for a good time and never missed an opportunity to make memories with the people he loved.

Chris will be missed by all who knew him, but his legacy lives on through his family and the countless memories he made with those he loved. Rest in peace, Chris, and keep the laughter going wherever you are.
