Clifford William Anker, born in Cedar City Utah July 8th 1947 passed away unexpectedly the afternoon of Sunday, July 26th 2020. He resided in Keller, TX with his wife, son and grand-daughter. A native of Southern Utah, Clifford Graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in Business Administration. In the 1970s, he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War era, spending time in South Korea as a specialist for the Hawk Missile Battalion.
He enjoyed a life in Texas, where he met his wife, Ann Anker, and lived in the DFW for 40 years. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He was honored by the military with the National Defense Service medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary medal. He volunteered at the Keller Senior Center teaching computer skills to those in the community for many years. He worked in Human Resources in multiple corporations in the Dallas area, including DISD and Dr. Pepper. He retired as a director at DISD. In his retirement, he founded a computer assistance business for training and repair, “The Anker Connection Inc.” which catered to senior members of the community. He was an avid reader, had an impeccable sweet tooth, and loved reminiscing about the beautiful mountains he grew up in. He was always willing to help anyone in need, and his altruistic spirit, and unconditional love will be remembered and honored in those who were close with him, including the 9 children he helped raise.
Cliff will be cremated, and will spend his eternal rest in the national cemetery Columbarium in Grand Prairie, Texas. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by all who knew him. We love you, Papa.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Ann Anker, his sister Rayma Anker-Wozab, children, Danelle Anker, Melaina AnkerYoungsberg and husband, Troy, Jeff Caplinger, and Kay (George) Garriott; His grand-daughters, Allison Garriott, Julia Macdonald, and Lauren (Nathan) Adams, as well as his 5 great-grandsons.
