WHITNEY -- Clyde Wayne Britt, 61, passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2012.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, Mansfield. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or the Salvation Army.
Wayne was born in Beaumont on May 17, 1951, to Clyde and Rita McDaniel Britt. He retired as a captain from the Euless Fire Department after 34 years of service. Wayne, an avid hunter, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He was a member of Estelle Masonic Lodge #582 in Euless.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and brother.
Survivors: Wife, Julie Britt; son, Chris Wayne Britt of Cleburne; daughter, Ashley Renee Potak and husband, Dan, of Euless; granddaughters, Nicole and Natalie Potak; sister, Kathy Moody of Bedford; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bruce and Ann Davis; and brothers-in-law, Henry R. Davis and wife, D'laine, and Bruce Davis.
