Clyde Vaughn

March 28, 1928 — April 8, 2016

HURST -- Clyde Vaughn went home peacefully to be with his Lord April 8, 2016 in Grapevine, Texas at the age of 88.
Memorial: was held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at North Richland Hills Baptist Church. Interment: Friday, April 22, 2015 at 1:15 pm in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions in Clyde's memory be given to Gideon International for Bibles.
Clyde was a WWII disabled Veteran and lived up to the title "the Greatest Generation." He loved Jesus, his family, his church, his country, and people in general. He never met a stranger and always had stories to tell and laughs to share! He even liked jokes on himself. He made you feel good that you had the privilege of knowing someone that valued and cared about you.
Clyde was preceded in death by his son Robert Vaughn, his daughter Janet Vaughn Mann, parents Zac and Bessie, step-mother Oma, 5 brothers, 7 sisters, 3 step-sisters and 1 step-brother.
Survivors: Clyde is survived by his wife of 58 years Nancy; daughter Donna Vaughn; his beloved grandson Aidan Mann; son-in-law David Mann; brother Jackie and wife Nita Vaughn; brother-in-law Lee and wife Rosanne Baldwin; brother-in-law Roby Zachery and numerous nieces and nephews.
