Colin James "CJ" Walsh, age 73, born April 17, 1948 in Storm Lake, Iowa to Ruth and Francis “Jack” Walsh and passed away October 9, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas.
He graduated in 1966 from Pocahontas Catholic High School in Pocahontas, Iowa and St. Benedict College in Atchison, Kansas in 1970.
He was married to Marcia Jean Walsh on May 1, 1971. He and Marcia lived and raised their children in Texarkana, TX; Taegu, South Korea; Heidelberg, Germany; Dayton, Ohio; and Fort Worth, Texas.
Colin enjoyed traveling with his wife to visit children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, and friends. He enjoyed coaching his children’s sports teams, playing golf and slow pitch softball, gardening (passionate about his hot peppers and tomatoes), watching college football, and playing cards with family (dominating everyone he faced in Pinochle). Later in life, he loved attending grandkids' sporting and school events.
Preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Walsh; father, Jack Walsh; father-in-law, Sib Seifried; mother-in-law, Marguerite Seifried; brother, Larry Walsh; sisters, Marijane Sheehan and Diann Mauser; nephew, Jason Walsh and brothers-in-law, Charles Malm and Roderick Moss.
Colin is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marcia Walsh; mother, Mary Walsh; son, Corey and his wife, Kathryn Walsh and their children Jack, Anna Claire, and Thomas; son, Chad and his wife, Allyson Walsh and their daughter Rylea; daughter, Codi and her husband Dave Kolakowski and their children Hudson and Harrison; brother, Mike and his wife, Emily Walsh; sister-in-law, Val Walsh; brother, Jim and his wife, Fay Walsh; sister, Jackie Moss; brother, Pat and his wife Leanne Walsh; sister, Marna and her husband Mike Denny and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
