A Memorial Service will be held at Lucas Funeral Home, Saturday, January 18th at 5 pm. A second service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Wilson in Wilson, Texas on Sunday, January 19th, at 1:30 pm

Coral Carolyn May-Hauck, born September 4, 1961 to Jerold and Clyde May, received her angelic wings on January 8, 2014. Coral’s life revolved around her children: Jennifer, Shandyn, Christopher, and Jacob, along with her husband Paul.

Her generous, sincere nature fostered an extended family that exhibited no bounds. Wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend . . . these were just a few of the roles that occupied Coral’s life. For those lucky enough to share her world, you knew her spirit was as fiery as her hair. She was smart, funny and wielded her razor sharp wit with a huge heart.

She was no stranger to tough times and heartache, but she didn’t let it make her bitter. Instead, she became better. Coral made us laugh. She let us cry on her shoulder. And she told us the truth. Stronger and more compassionate, she shared those characteristics with everyone who knew her.

Recently, she had an epiphany about her life. She viewed her life in four parts. The first part was all about “finding out who she was and who she wasn’t.” The second part was for growing and supporting a family. The third was about “giving back” because of things she had taken for granted, and then she said the fourth and last part of her life was about “using her experiences to help others.”

“I want to live a purposeful life,” she said.

Well Coral, you did. You definitely did.

Coral lives on through the countless lives she touched. She would say that we were God’s gift to her, but truly she was God’s gift to us. We love you more than we know how to express.
