Cornelia Agnes Keane

Another angel gained her wings. Cornelia Agnes Keane, age 70 of Watauga, Texas, passed away at home surrounded by family on January 8th, 2024.

Cornelia Agnes Keane was born September 14th, 1953 to loving parents Julia (Marquardt) and Eugene Law in Ogallala, Nebraska. Cornelia, known as Corie to her friends, and her two siblings grew up in Ogallala. She graduated from high school there in 1971, and went on to the Lincoln School of Commerce in the fall of 1971. Corie met and was courted by the love of her life, Rickie Keane, while attending college in Lincoln, Nebraska and they were married in Ogallala in 1973. Rickie and Corie would grow their family, having a daughter and three sons. Together they traveled, from Lincoln to Denver, to Memphis, and settling in Texas. The pair would weather the heartbreak of the loss of their son, Jeremy, together in 2020.

Corie was a light to all those who knew her, and her most cherished memories were of times with her family and friends. She is and will be missed dearly.

Corie was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Julia Law; her brother, JT Law; and her beloved son, Jeremy Keane.

Corie is survived by her loving husband, Rickie Keane; her daughter, Coreen Blanchard; her sons, Alex and Brian Keane; her grandson, Noah Blanchard; and her sister, Mary Geibel.

A memorial service will be held to honor Cornelia Keane on Saturday, March 16th, 2024 at 2 o'clock pm at Lucas Funeral Home, located at 1601 S. Main Street in Keller, Texas.
