Craig Royer Sheaffer II, aged 71 years, passed away on Monday, February 20th, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Craig was born May 26th, 1951 in Fort Madison, Iowa to loving parents Walter A. Sheaffer II and Anne Garland Green Sheaffer. He was raised in Fort Madison and went on to graduate Culver Military Academy in 1969, and Northwood Institute of Dallas, earning a bachelor’s degree.
Craig married Devonia Sue Dettre on June 14th, 1975, and together they had a son, Jeremy Sheaffer. The couple divorced on February 27th, 1984.
Craig married Julia Anne Gladding July 7th, 1986 and began a family together in Keller, Texas. They had two children, Anne Sheaffer and Walter A. Sheaffer III. He began working for Crow Precision Components in 1988, and was most recently their Controller.
Craig had an active life with many hobbies including fishing, golfing, boating, cooking, reading, and traveling regularly to Iowa and Florida. All of which he loved to do with his family, friends, and family dogs that he loved dearly (Marlee, Baylee, Shiner, Stormi, Mya, and Kenna).
Craig is preceded in death by his parents, Walter A. Sheaffer II and Anne Garland Green Sheaffer.
Craig is survived by his sisters, Garland Remsen (John), Leslie Dieterich (Bob), and Elizabeth Mohr (Rick); his children, Jeremy Sheaffer (Amy), Anne Sheaffer, and Walter A. Sheaffer III; several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held March 16th, 2023 at 128 S. Main Street, Keller, Texas 76248.
