Curtis Ray Vinson
July 29, 1940 — January 16, 2022
Curtis Ray Vinson, a resident of Venus, TX entered this world on July 29, 1940 in Dallas, TX and departed January 16, 2022. He served in the United States Marine Corps as well as the United States Air Force Reserves. Known for his trusting manner and kindness toward others, he was a life-long tinkerer and practiced this passion into his retirement.
Curtis is survived by his four children and four grandchildren; daughter Jana Vinson, daughter Lindsay Box and her husband Justin with granddaughter Eberly and grandson Dallas; son Brian and his wife Sheri; and Troy and his wife Laura with grandsons Andrew and Joshua, whose progress in life Curtis watched closely and of whom he was incredibly proud.
He will be interred at the National Cemetery in Grand Prairie, TX. Per his request there will be no public memorial. The family requests a thoughtful act of kindness toward a veteran as an expression of honor or sympathy instead of flowers.
