Dad really enjoyed traveling, he tried once a year to take a week or two to go see the sights. He swore that if you hadn't seen Mr. Rushmore, it was a sight you needed to see. He LOVED Colorado and would incorporate his trips around his birth state.
He enjoyed riding his Harley when he could and typically wore a Harley shirt or hat and would usually go up to Harley Davidson in Bedford every weekend and take part in their weekend festivities. He also loved to visit the Ice House in Bedford with his friends multiple times a week. Friends and family were important to him.
He loved John Wayne, Dale Robertson (whom he was named after) and Audie Murphy movies. He was a patriot and LOVED our people in uniform, such a big supporter and regularly gave to St. Jude's and believed in the cause that the Littles didn't deserve to go through cancer like he did.
He was ways willing to give a lending hand to anyone who needed it.
Dedicated to his work, 30 years with Dan Boykin Sr at Advantage Signs/Fastsigns of Fort Worth. Reliable beyond measure, rarely if ever took a sick day.
Those who passed before him include his mother Florence Pullin and stepfather Alton Pullin. His sisters
Linda Garner and Rose Franzer, and brothers Jerry and Danny Denney.
Survivors include his brother Jim Denney. His sister Reena Scott. His daughters Amanda Denney and Kellie-Brynn Spurlock, his son Rusty Denney and his grandchildren Travis, Haylee, Lexi, Callie, Logan, Luke and Silver.
He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
