Dale Alan Reinecker

October 7, 1944 — October 19, 2021

Dale Alan Reinecker, of Bedford, Texas, passed into the next life the morning of October 19, 2021, at his home in Bedford.
Dale was the first born in a family of he and two sisters to Harold and Virginia Reinecker in Wellington, Kansas, on October 7, 1944. He attended grade school through high school in Wellington. He was an excellent athlete participating in football, basketball, and baseball throughout those years.
After leaving Wellington High School he attended the University of Kansas where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and enjoyed a care-free and active campus life. He played football for KU for two years and was very involved in the School of Journalism. He graduated from KU in 1966 with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Political Science. Everyone who knew him knew that Dale was a die-hard KU fan.
Dale was married to Pat Bahm on June 10, 1966. They moved from Lawrence, Kansas, to the Kansas City area where he started his career as a copywriter for Western Auto. It didn’t take long to get tired of the snow and ice, so in August of 1969 he and Pat moved to Irving, Texas, where he had a position with Bloom Advertising Agency.
Daughter, Kendra Lea, arrived in October, 1972, and another new chapter to life began.
In 1973, he joined Brunswick, Zebco Fishing Tackle Division, as its advertising manager in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lots of fishing, hunting, and other outdoor sports were associated with the job, and he loved it! Dale loved all sports throughout his life, and he was very competitive. But after two tornadoes and a hundred-year flood within a block of his house it was time to get back to Dallas area in 1978, where he and Pat lived in the same home in Bedford for 43 years.
After returning to Dallas area, he continued his career in the advertising/marketing/public relations industry and won several awards for the campaigns he produced. He also, owned his own advertising business for several years. He retired from the ad business in 2002.
Over the years he stayed active. He shot competition archery, skied, snorkeled, scuba dived and sky dived (just once). He played adult soccer and basketball, coached Little League Soccer, ran 10K races, backpacked, hunted, and fished from Canada to Florida. He traveled for business and pleasure to a good portion of the world.
In retirement he stayed busy with a little golf, competitive chili cooking, backyard BBQs, and traveling with Pat and friends. He enjoyed his three grandkids, their activities, and watching them grow up. He spent a little time each day enjoying sports talk and political banter with his friends at Danny’s Pub in Bedford.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; his daughter and son-in-law, Kendra and Aldo Rey; and his three grandchildren, Fabiana, Luca, and Marco Rey; and his sister, Nancy Reinecker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patty Reinecker.
