FORT WORTH -- Damon A. Clay, 90, passed away on Monday September 28, 2015.
Graveside: 1:30 pm Monday at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 10 am - 12 pm prior to the service at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.
Damon was born on January 10, 1925 in Fort Worth to the late Wallace and Onia Clay. He proudly served as a Combat Medic in the U.S. Army during WWII where he earned a Purple Heart, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Stars, Philippine Liberation Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, and a Silver Star Medal.
Survivors: Daughter, Jean Tankersley; brother, Thurman Clay; sister, Jenetta Lee Gilliland; 3 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
