Born on January 31, 1931, in Bonham, Texas, to Dan Alford Kennedy, Sr. and Grace Kennedy. He went to school in Bonham, Texas 12 years and played football for the Bonham Warriors.
Dan married Mary Frances Chapman on June 5, 1954 and they had one daughter, Jennifer. He worked for the State of Texas for 35 years and retired in 1989. Dan and Mary lived in Haltom City for 57 years before moving to Midlothian, where they have lived the past 7 years.
Dan is survived by his wife, Mary Frances; daughter, Jennifer Kay Kennedy; brother, Don Kennedy of Georgetown, Texas; and scores of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
