Daniel (Dan) Patrick Geisel, 41, of Haslet, died unexpectedly August 11, 2020, at home.
Mr. Geisel was born December 17, 1978, in Fort Ord, Sea Side, California, to Christian & Susan (McBride) Geisel.
After graduating from Hylton High School in Woodbridge, Virginia in 1997. He continued his education at Angelo State University, San Angelo, TX and finished college at the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, Hawaii with a degree in History.
In 2011, he met the love of his life, Erica (Barrera), and they were married in 2013. Together they have two beautiful children, Isabel, 7 and Gabriel, 5. He loved his family tremendously. The flexibility of his job allowed him to spend quality time at home and, most recently, online schooling. Prior to COVID restrictions he served as the only home room dad “HRD” for his daughter’s first grade class. He spent hours building Legos with his son Gabriel, “the builder” that will have a lasting impact. He also enjoyed cooking and grilling and would regularly host large gatherings of family and friends.
Daniel was an extraordinary young man, loved by all who met him. From high school and college friends to clients, his outgoing personality and quick wit allowed him to make and keep lifelong friends easily. His passion for people was a perfect match with his chosen profession of Real Estate. He was on “Team Rhodes” with Keller Williams Reality and greatly enjoyed helping other people find the perfect home.
He is survived by his wife, Erica; daughter, Isabel; son, Gabriel; parents, Chris and Susan Geisel; brother, Matthew Geisel; in-laws, Manuel and Flor Barrera, and extended family in Maryland and Texas.
Mass will be held at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Keller on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 followed by internment at the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Columbarium.
