Daniel Alan Jorns

April 14, 1953 — June 16, 2020

Daniel Alan Jorns was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on April 14, 1953, and passed away on June 16, 2020 in Keller, Texas.
The third son of Victor Lee Jorns and Nancy Jane Pollard Jorns, Dan grew up in Oklahoma and even spent a summer working as a cowboy in his teenage years.
Dan earned his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Master of Science in Student Personnel and Guidance from Oklahoma State University. While at OSU, Dan joined the fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Upon graduation, he moved to Des Moines, Iowa to work in the social services field. This is where he met Beverly Ann McIntire and on August 4, 1979 they were married.
Dan and Bev welcomed their first child, Whitney, on November 8, 1983 and their second daughter, Lindsay, on June 3, 1985.
Dan had a lucrative career in hotel administration for over 30 years which took him all over the United States and Canada. After living in Texas, California and Virginia. Dan and Bev returned to Texas and ultimately retired in 2011.
Dan was well known for his sense of humor, playful spirit, love of science fiction, passion for history, music and a not so well hidden secret sweet tooth.
Dan was a loving husband, father and grandfather who is already dearly missed. Daniel is survived by his wife of 40 years Beverly Ann Jorns, daughter Whitney Kuhnlenz (son-in-law Fritz Kuhnlenz and grandsons Sebastian Kuhnlenz and Theodore Kuhnlenz), daughter Lindsay Simpson (son-in-law Robert Simpson and granddaughter Evelyn Simpson), brother David Jorns (wife Audrey), brother Steven Jorns (wife Jennifer) and many loving nieces and nephews



A memorial viewing will be held Saturday June 20, 2020 from 1:00-3:00pm at Lucas Funeral Homes in Keller Texas.
