We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Daniel Lerin Pardillos, who tragically passed away on January 23, 2025, due to heart failure.Daniel joined the SICE USA team in July of 2021 and had been an integral part of the SICE family for over 20 years. His work within SICE Spain, SICE Chile, and SICE USA left a lasting impact on colleagues, clients, and communities around the world.
Daniel Lerín was born on March 2, 1975, in Zaragoza, Spain. He studied at Saint Augustine School, where he showed great sensitivity toward art, writing poetry and forming two rock bands.
He pursued a degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Zaragoza, later moving to Madrid, where he dedicated 24 years of his career to the company SICE. Through his work, he fulfilled his dream of traveling the world, but his greatest joy, his most cherished dream, was not found in distant places; it was in the family he built with his beloved wife, Paola, and their three children, Estefanía, Ariana, and Daniel
In 2001, his work led him to Chile, a place that would forever shape his heart. He found joy in meaningful conversations, new friendships, and the exquisite flavors of foreign cuisines in multiple countries of South America. But it was in Santiago, in a small bar in the center of the city, that his life changed forever. The moment he met Paola, he knew that his heart no longer belonged only to Spain. It had found a new home in Chile, with family and love.
In 2021 another working opportunity took him to Dallas, Texas; but now, it was a family adventure. Having lived the American dream, Daniel lived fully, loved deeply, and gave generously.
He was a devoted husband, father, and friend. His strong voice, sharp mind, contagious laughter, sense of humor, and boundless kindness left an everlasting mark on all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Until forever, husband, father, son, brother, friend, companion.
Until forever, Daniel.
