Daniel J. Roberts passed away Saturday January 27, 2018.
Dan was born March 14, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Doster and Marjorie Roberts. The second oldest of 7 children, he walked 4 miles to the home of his grandparents to go fishing, camping and visiting. Times with his grandparents were the best times for Dan. He loved Antique Cars 1960- 1965; Fishing, Camping, and Building 3 full houses. He loved horseback riding and owned 3 horses. He liked playing poker and dominoes - mostly at work - and winning his co-workers' money, which he did most of the time, but he wasn't addicted to anything because he believed you couldn't be addicted unless you wanted to be. He was proud of his domino wins. He loved watching movies, especially Christmas movies and the Hallmark Channel. He enjoyed burning DVD's for his friends and family. He enjoyed watching movies, especially Barbie movies, with his daughter Sara. He was a biker and loved riding motorcycles. He loved going clothes shopping with his wife Dalia. He was so patient, sitting for hours watching Netflix while she shopped.
Dan served as a Carrollton Police Officer in the 1970's and later worked as a Fleet Service Crew Chief for American Airlines at DFW Airport. He retired from American in 2000 after 36 years of service. He considered his greatest accomplishments to be raising 6 children, another child, Sara, as well as becoming a father to Maro. He traveled to Disneyland, to Disneyworld, to the mountains and to many other places with his kids. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Roberts; father, Doster Roberts; and sister, Betty Roberts.
