Daniel Leon Taft

Daniel Taft, 69, passed away November 17, 2020 at the Senior Care of Crowley. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Lifegate Church, 601 SW Thomas St. in Burleson.
He was born July 20,1951 in West Plains, MO to Claude Taft and Vera Morris (Welch).
Daniel worked as a painter for most his life. He loved playing the guitar, making up songs, fishing, working in the yard, watching NASCAR, grilling, and playing bingo!! Some of the family’s favorite memories are sitting on the front porch making up songs with his daughter while playing guitar, fishing with his sons, and celebrating his grandchildren.
Daniel married Caron Taft (Edmunds) in 1980 in Ft. Worth. They were married for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Claude L Taft; mother, Vera Jane Morris; and sisters, Pam and Linda.
Daniel is survived by his sons, Forrest Taft and wife, Jessie, and Micah Taft, Joel Taft, and Nathan Taft; daughter, Hannah Rodriguez and husband, Ray; sister, Bobbie Joe Boyd; brother Mickey Morris; grandchildren, Cadence and Dayton Taft, Jake and Lauren Rodriguez, Lucy Taft, and Ashton Nelson; and Caron Taft.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home and Lifegate Church.
