Although Danny was involved in and served the church throughout his life, he considered Cedar Cross Country Church his church family for the last several years. He was a proud member of the NRA, as well as AARP for all kinds of senior discounts, and he immensely enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and RV camping with friends and family.
Danny met the love of his life, Judy L. Clark at a party in 1969. After dating for a couple of years, they got married in 1972 in Fort Worth, Texas, and created a beautiful life together for 49 years. Danny and Judy were members of the unofficial Lillian Social Club, a group of other retired neighbors who would gather each Friday night for dinner. He enjoyed playing dominoes but loved playing 42. Danny was a cowboy and always had a love for horsemanship and the western lifestyle. He was an active team roper for numerous years and would always ride in the Fort Worth Stock Show Parade.
