On what started as a chilly day, that grew to be a warm and sunny afternoon, Danny Lee Tillery was born July 6th, 1950 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. His loving parents Leon and Loretta Tillery watched him grow, graduated from Rapid City High School before attending Black Hills State College. Danny went on to earn a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Accounting, which proved to secure his profession throughout his career.
Danny was an avid bowler, often spending time on the lanes. He loved playing horseshoes with his favorite people and could often be found playing cards until the wee hours of the morning, occasionally greeting the sun before retiring for rest.
Danny and his beloved wife, Jayne, would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this coming year on March 3rd, 2023. A life of love, laughter, and family spent together.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Loretta Tillery; his niece, Christina Youngerman; and his nephew, Michael Youngerman.
Danny is survived by his wife, Jayne Tillery; his daughters, Kristi Curl (John) and Konni Young (Bill); Son, Shane (Elaine); brother, Darrell Tillery; sister, Shirley Youngerman; and seven grandchildren, Logan, Asher, Julianne, Cait, Evelyn, Tex, and Duke.
A public viewing will be held for friends and family of Mr. Danny Lee Tillery on December 14th, 2022 at 1 o’clock pm at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas. A funeral service will be held on December 14th, 2022 at 2 o’clock pm with committal service to follow.
The family invites guests to return to the funeral home following the committal service for a reception and time of stories and celebration of Danny’s life.
