Dante Ellis

November 26, 1961 — April 29, 2013

Craig Ellis, 51, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend went home to be with his Lord, Monday, April 29, 2013.  He was in the company of his wife Lorie as he quietly passed after a long, hard fought battle with cancer.
We will celebrate Craig’s life Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 3pm at Lucas Funeral Home, 137 East Hill, Keller, Texas 76248.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a special account set up at Wells Fargo Bank to help cover Craig’s medical expenses or to the American Cancer Society.
Craig was born in Brownwood, Texas to Joe and Betty Ellis on November 26, 1961.  He moved to San Antonio, Texas when he was 2 years old and lived there until his family moved to Midland, Texas when he was 13 years old.  Craig graduated from Midland Robert E. Lee High School in 1980.  Craig attended Midland College and worked in Midland for several years.  He met his wife of 30 years, Lorie Riggs, in 1981.  They were married on August 6, 1983.  They relocated to the North Texas area in 1986 and eventually settled in Keller.  Craig and Lorie are blessed with two beautiful children, Megan and Dalton.

Craig is survived by his loving wife Lorie Riggs Ellis, daughter Megan Renee Ellis Langdon and son-in-law Brandon Langdon of Roanoke, Texas, and son Joe “Dalton” Ellis of Keller, Texas.  Craig was the proud Pappa to grandson Hendrix Ty Langdon.  Craig is also survived by his parents Joe and Betty Ellis of Arlington, Texas, sister Holly Ellis Shaw and brother-in-law Randy Shaw of Tomball, Texas and sister Sheri Ellis Gentry and brother-in-law Preston Gentry of Arlington, Texas, grandmother Bessie Mae Ellis of Brownwood, Texas and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.

Craig loved spending time with his family.  He loved music.  He loved the water and snow skiing.  He was an accomplished water skier and snow skier.  Craig loved to laugh and to make others laugh.  He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.  Our faith tells us this is not a goodbye so instead we will say … until we meet again.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.  Matthew 5:4 (NIV)
