BEDFORD, TEXAS – Darline Popovich, age 90, passed away peacefully Friday December 7, 2018.
Darline was born February 26, 1928 to Wilbur and Ida Mae Bonnay in Cleveland, Ohio. She married the love of her life, Nicholas Popovich in 1951, and became an Air Force wife. They traveled extensively, both when he was stationed and for fun, especially in their later years. Along the way they had 5 beautiful children, eventually settling in Denver, Colorado, and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Darline was preceded in death by her husband Nick, and spent her last years in Bedford, Texas to be close to her children. She is survived by her eldest daughter Deborah Newman and her husband David, daughter Jan Burton and her husband Kevin, eldest son Michael, son Nicholas and daughter Sandra Riley and her husband Steve. She had two grandsons, Kristopher Newman and Nicholas Riley, as well as numerous loving family and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall St., Grapevine, TX 76051. There will be a reception for family and friends immediately following the service, adjacent to the chapel.
