Darrell Wayne Rasco, age 62 of Hillsboro, Texas went to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 9, 2021. He was born September 7, 1959 in Fort Worth, Texas to Darrell and Wanda (McCullough) Rasco. God placed the love of Darrell’s life right across the street from his childhood home, and he married her on October 20, 1984. Darrell enlisted in the United States Marine Corp on March 15th, 1982, served for a total of 3 years, and obtained the rank of Lance Corporal. He had great love for his country and was very proud to have served in the military. For the last 20 years, he worked as a facilities maintenance mechanic for American Airlines.
Anyone who knew Darrell knew that there was nothing more important to him than God and family. Making jokes and teasing others came second nature to him; he just loved to laugh. Darrell was quite the collector and had the unique ability to see potential in things that no one else could appreciate. He could fix just about anything, even things he had no prior experience with. He would regularly surprise everyone with creative inventions to solve everyday problems. Darrell was also an avid reader and spent much of his free time lost in a good book. His family knew him as dependable, loyal, and a source of wisdom. Darrell was able to find humor in places where no one else saw it. During trying times, he would say, “You can either laugh about it or cry about it, and one is a little less sad.”
Darrell leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Debora Rasco; son, Darrell Rasco and wife Hayley; daughter, Desiree Rasco; grandchildren, Leland Rasco and one more on the way; mother, Wanda Livingston; sister, Debbie Yorek and husband Danny; 2 brothers, Danny Rasco and wife JoAnn, and David Rasco and wife Peggi; several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Darrell Rasco.
