David Delmo Borghesi went to meet his Lord on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at the age of 80, in a local hospital. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home. David was born January 5, 1941 in Fort Worth, and was the first son of Adelmo and Lillian Watson Borghesi. He was born on his mother’s birthday. David grew up in Everman and graduated from Everman High School in 1960. After marrying Jan Graham, the girl he met in elementary school, he finally landed his dream job at LTV as a Fireman/Security Guard from December 1965 until January 2000. He retired after 35 years. David loved listening to country/western music, dancing, taking short road trips, finding new restaurants, watching football and spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved watching his daughters and grandchildren play sports and participate in school activities. He was so proud of each and everyone of them.
David and Jan were married January 30, 1964 in Fort Worth. They were working on their 58th year of marriage. They were members of Worth Baptist Church in Fort Worth. David was a Master Mason in Good Standing in Deer Creek Lodge # 510 in Everman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Adelmo Borghesi; mother, Lilllian Youngblood; step-father, Henly Youngblood; and brother, Danny Lee Borghesi.
David is survived by his wife, Jan; daughters, Carla Clark and husband, Cory of Burleson, Karen Martinez and husband, Delbert of Glen Rose, and Cathi Borghesi of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Koryann and Kinley Clark, and JT, Shaney, and Gracie Smith; great-grandchildren, Holly, Heidi and soon to be, Coy Smith; brother, Donnie Borghesi and wife, Dianna of Newark, TX; sister, Barbara Jordan and husband, Richard of Crowley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends he considered family.

The family would like to thank all the tireless working doctors and nurses at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth and Burleson Fire Department and Paramedics for providing David the best care possible. We also want to thank all the family, friends, and neighbors for their outpouring of love for David and his family.
