David Ray Byars

David Ray Byars, 74, of Flower Mound, Texas, went to be with the Lord on December 9, 2021. David was born on January 10, 1947 in Vernon, Texas to Raymond and Alice Byars.

David was a strong believer in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. He shared salvation with every person he met until he knew His mission was accomplished.

He was an avid fisherman, self taught musician, and passionate restaurant enthusiast. He brought light to every room with his incredible sense of humor and the ability to be the punchline of every joke.

Three years ago David was diagnosed with stage four Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. He opted out of any treatment recommended by doctors and was only given one year of survival. He put all of his faith and trust into God’s Will and timing. His testimony proves that God’s timing is always perfect.

David is beloved by his sister Janice Blankenship, brother Don Byars, uncle Danny Bunch, daughters Alisha Coward and Selynda Sanchez, grandsons Elijah and Ethan, granddaughters Alyssa, Cami, and Brooklyn, nieces Tiffany, Chanin, April, and Celeste, and nephews Matthew and Fred.
