"Then shall the dust return to earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to the Mighty One who bestowed it!" (Ecclesiastes 12:7) May your spirit be entrusted to יהוה who bestowed it! You are loved, and you did your job, Dad.
Mr. David Martin Christian, age 71, of Saint Jo, Texas, returned his spirit to the Mighty One who bestowed it on Thursday, March 23, 2023.
David Christian was born on Wednesday, January 30, 1952 in Frisco, Texas, to Lewis Olan Christian, Sr., and Frances Ann Jimeson-Christian. He passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023, in Cleveland, Ohio.
A lowly carpenter who worked his way up through the ranks, to lead many, and successfully run a business that turned a profit of roughly $20 million annually before retiring, he lived the Conway Twitty song "That's My Job" and did everything he could throughout his life to provide for his children. Though in his mind he was still but a lowly carpenter.
Then after retirement back in 2010, he grew restless, and turned to the open roads, becoming an over-the-road truck driver, which is why he was in Cleveland, Ohio, at the time of his passing.
He was a family man and loved his family. Outside of his family, he had a great interest in fast cars, from Chevelles to Corvettes. He, also, knew Scripture better than most, to the point that all who heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers, though still he was but a lowly carpenter with a gentle spirit.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, Lewis Olan Christian, Sr., and Frances Ann Jimeson-Christian, along with siblings Lewis Olan Christian, Jr., Mary Anne Christian, and John Edwin Christian, Sr.
David is survived by his three children and their wives and husbands, Phillip Wayne Christian and wife Sheryl Christian of Moses Lake, Washington, Shane Peace Christian of Saint Jo, Texas, and Cassandra Pike Christian and husband Matthew Bolen of Pitcairn, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Nicanor Valdez Christian and wife Karina Christian, and Phillip Valdez Christian of Moses Lake, Washington, and Hazel Mae Christian of Saint Jo, Texas; great grandchildren Nicanor Valdez Christian, Jr., Nalani Neveah Christian, and Nariyah Marie Christian of Moses Lake, Washington; many nieces and nephews, along with their spouses, and children.
