David Albert Dempster at the age of 80, passed away March 1, 2023 in North Richland Hills, Texas. He was born to Donald and Lena Dempster on October 9, 1942 in Simco, Canada.
David graduated from Taylor High School in Taylor, Michigan. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Then was employed with American Airlines for over 35 years. On September 20, 1975 he married the love of his life, Lorraine. They really enjoy their picnics together at the lake and bowling league nights. He loved teaching his boys how to fish and telling fish stories. He cherished his time with his girls by reading stories and sharing adventures. He adored his time that he spent as Grandpa aka "Pops" to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was very proud of each one of them.
David had several hobbies; He was an avid model train collector, he loved racing RC boats, and David also enjoyed wood working; building projects like porch swings, cedar chest and Crokinole boards (You wouldn’t understand it’s a Canadian thing).
He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Lena Dempster; his brother, John Dempster.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Marie Dempster; siblings; brother, Paul (Ellen) Dempster; sister, Donna McCutcheon; children; sons, Jerry Diyer, Dave (Teri) Diyer, Mike (Stacey) Diyer, Donald Dempster; daughters, Angela Dempster; Heather (Tim) Maloney; and Daughter in love Dawn Diyer; grandchildren; Amanda Baze, Justin Diyer, Cassandra Diyer, Sarah Badman, Bradley Diyer, Cody Anders, Kyle Abernathy, Tristan Allman, Kelby Diyer, Shaun Brown, Chloe Buller, Katelyn Buller, Ashlyn Pennington-Diyer, Tiffany Bach, Rachel Maloney, Rebeka Maloney and 12 great grandchildren.
