David Ray Farley

David Ray Farley, age 70, passed away at his home in Joshua, Texas on January 20, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of The Uprising Church where he enjoyed praising the Lord. Psalms 103: 1-5 NLT Let all that I am praise The Lord, with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like eagles!


David is preceded in death by his mother Bernece Erwin, his father EJ Farley, and his brother EJ Farley Jr.


He is survived by his wife, Patricia Farley, daughter from a previous marriage, Rebecca Southerland and son Brad Farley. His grandchildren include Cassidy and Connor Southerland and Cheyenne and Cody Farley. His step children Matthew and Melissa Leonard. His great-grandchild Prestyn Huff. He also took great pride in helping raise his grandson, Michael Davis, whom he treated as his own. He will be greatly missed by his siblings; Carole, Mary, Kenneth, Barbara and Tim.


David’s Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 8th, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Uprising Church 1733 Conveyor Drive, Joshua, Texas 76028. Phone: (817) 706-2316.
