David Guttery, 84 of Burleson passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018.

David was an avid golfer and marshaled at Hidden Creek Golf Course in Burleson for years, he loved the game and the many friendships developed through playing golf. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, going to horse races and yearly trips to Las Vegas with his son and friends. David enjoyed his morning get togethers at the Hickory Stick in Everman talking to his buddies.
David got along with everyone and was easy-going, he cherished his wife and family and was always there with a helping hand when called upon. He was a terrific grandfather, lovingly known as "Pop". He loved animals and would always try to feed a stray and shelter when in need.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Hester Guttery; brother, Eddie Guttery; sister, Dorothy Barnes and nephew, Bruce Kelley.
Survivors: Wife of 66 years, Liz Guttery; daughters, Sherry Taylor and husband Steve of Flower Mound, Vickie Bond and husband Jeff of Sherman; son, David Guttery and wife Darlene of Burleson; grandchildren, Amanda Mitchell and husband Matthew of Fort Collins, CO, Kassie Bond and husband Eric of Denison, Jeffrey Bond and wife Traci of Howe, Matthew Luster and wife Brandy of Little Elm, Danielle Guttery of Burleson; great-grandchildren, Hannah Bond, Addison Bond, Kaden Luster, Rylee Carpenter, Zoey Guttery-Green, Anja Luster and Talan Luster.
