David Hill, 73, passed away Monday, Sept. 7, 2015.
Service: 10 a.m. Saturday at Keller United Methodist Church.
Interment: 2 p.m. Sunday in Hunt Japonica Cemetery in Kerr County. DIRECTIONS TO CEMETERY: From Kerrville, Texas, take State Highway 27 and go west. At Ingram take State Highway 39 to Hunt. Turn right on Farm Road 1340 and go about 1 mile. The cemetery will be visible from the road on the right hand side.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller.
David was raised in Hunt and Ingram, attended schools there and graduated from Tivy High school class of 1959. He attended Schreiner Junior College before joining the U.S. Navy. After serving on submarines for twenty years he worked at American Eagle and later Flight Safety as a pilot and instructor.
While living in Keller he has been active in Keller United Methodist Church where he has served in various leadership positions and in the church’s mission and outreach programs.
David will be greatly missed by both his family and church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Judge John and Margaret Hill; sister, Patricia Hill Bates and her husband Fred; and his granddaughter, Crystal.
Survivors: Wife, Charlotte; daughter, Marie McAllister; sons, Jonathan and wife, Michelle Keklak, Kenny McAllister, Michael and wife, Chris McAllister, and Miguel Diaz; grandchildren, Fernell, Matthew, Michaela, Jared, Christopher, Shawn and Eric; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Doug and his wife, Shaleah Hill. David was a loving uncle and friend to many.
