David Wayne Hill

March 24, 1953 — February 6, 2017

David Wayne Hill, 63, of Bedford passed away Monday February 6, 2017 in Fort Worth after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Service: A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Chapel of Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation ( www.tpwf.org ) for wildlife conservation in Texas.
David was born March 24, 1953 in Fort Worth. He was a lifelong resident of Bedford and a graduate of LD Bell High School.
He was employed in natural gas distribution by Lone Star Gas Company, TXU/Oncor and Atmos Energy for a total of 43 years of dedicated service.
David was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed deer & turkey hunting, fishing, camping and bird watching. He had many diverse hobbies including outdoor/nature photography, hunting/collecting arrowheads, painting & drawing, writing stories, reading, and traveling. He enjoyed Texas historical sites, state parks and natural areas. David had eclectic taste in music, enjoying a wide variety of artists and genres.
Whether known as Dave, Dad, Pepaw, David Wayne, DW, Bub or Uncle Bubba, he was a great family man loved by all.
Survivors: Survived by his wife of 42 years, Judy Dacus Hill; daughter, Jana M Hill and her husband Brian Cholewinski and grandson Everett Fox Cholewinski of Fort Worth. Parents David and Lucile Hill of Whitesboro. Sisters Karen (John) Walker of Whitesboro and Karmen (Dale) Grimes of Salado. Parents-in-law, Bob and Thelma Dacus of Irving. Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
