Officer David S. Hofer

PLANO -- Officer David Stefan Hofer, beloved son, fiancé, brother, and grandson passed away in the line of duty, Tuesday, March 1, 2016.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Pennington Field, Bedford.
Additional Services will be 10:00 am Monday, March 7, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, 14 East 51st Street New York, NY 10022 ( http://saintpatrickscathedral.org/ )
Officer Hofer was 29 years old and lived in Plano. He came to the Euless Police Department in January of 2014 after five years of service with the New York Police Department. He graduated from Saint Ann's High School in Brooklyn, NY and earned his bachelor's degree from New York University in 2008.
David was known for his ability to make anyone laugh, his generous and selfless spirit, and being a man of principle.
David is survived by his fiancé Marta Danylyk; parents, Helmut and Sonja Hofer; sister, Meret Hofer; brother, Boris Brawer; grandmother, Trude Hofer; his brothers and sisters in Blue and many other extended family and friends.
